2019 Old Vine Estate Pinot Noir
The Ruby Vineyard Old Vine Estate Pinot Noir is entirely comprised of 43 year old own rooted pinot noir from our estate vineyard. On the nose there are hints of ripe red fruits over-laid by darker toned blue fruits. The generous pallet shows off the deep concentration of old vines and the 2019 growing season. Soft yet supple tannin’s carry the wine through the mid-pallet leaving the taster with a slightly spicy finish.

WINE ENTHUSIAST 95 Points, Cellar Selection Getting to use fruit from nearly 50-year-old vines is a privilege: this winemaker takes full advantage. The wine's silky tannins provide a pretty partner for elevated acidity and a plush, luxurious mouthfeel. Aromas and flavors of tart raspberries, violets, toffee and saline are difficult to resist. Enjoy now until 2033. — Michael Alberty
Score: 95 13.2% alc., $65. A combination of 1973 own-rooted Wädenswil and 1979 own-rooted Pommard plantings plus Dijon 115. Moderately light garnet color. A complex nose offers cherry compote, star anise, black tea, and vanilla aromas. A potpourri of fresh berry flavors is accompanied by notes of dried herbs, black pepper, and cherry in a mid-weight style. Smoky oak intervenes when the wine is opened but disappears with air time and enters a state of Zen-like harmony. Considerably more seductive when tasted the following day from a previously opened bottle. Rusty Gaffney - The Prince of Pinot
